Alex Berger was born in Pretoria, South Africa, in 2001. In 2023 he received his undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pretoria. In 2025, after two years of working in industry, he decided to pursue a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at TU Delft. Now as part of the department of Bioelectronics and the MITUS group under dr. Tiago L. Costa, his research is focused on ultrasound imaging for the purpose of assisting non-invasive targeted drug delivery.
