PhD graduation of Francesc Varkevisser

Francesc (Cesc) Varkevisser has succesfully defended his PhD, on September 25th! His thesis is entitled: Energy Efficiency Optimization in Large-scale Multichannel Electrical Neuromodulation. Cesc will continue his career in medical device company ADCORPUS in Barcelona, as a R&D Engineer. Good luck, Cesc!

Welcome Jiaqi Pan, new MSc student!

Welcome Jiai, the new MSc student in the MITUS lab! Jiaqi did her Bachelor (Electrical Engineering) and Master (Microelectronics) in TU Delft, and will work on microfabrication of acoustic holograms in her MSc thesis project.

Our lab was present at the latest IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IEEE IUS) in Utrecht, The Netherlands, with one oral presentation and 4 posters. Our recent MSc graduate Anand Radhakrishnan won the best student pitch competition award!

Gandhika (Gandhi) Wardhana has succesfully defended his PhD! His thesis is entitled: Microtechnology for In-vitro Ultrasound Neuromodulation Studies. Gandhika will remain in the MITUS lab as a Postdoctoral researchers.

Hassan Rivandi has succesfully defended his PhD! His thesis is entitled: CMOS Integrated Circuits to Interface with a 2D Array of Ultrasound Transducers for Ultrasound Brain Stimulation. Hassan will remain in the MITUS lab as a Postdoctoral researchers.

HFSP reearch grant - early career
HFSP reearch grant - early career

The MITUS lab got its first major grant: the Human Frontiers Science Program (HFSP) Research grant - Early career. Together with Andreas Hartel (Columbia University) and Wojciech Kopec (Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry), we will work on an interdisciplinary approach to unravel the fundamental mechanisms of focused ultrasound neuromodulation.

MITUS lab launched at TU Delft
MITUS lab launched at TU Delft!

The MITUS lab is starting in the Bioelectronics section - Microelectronics department at TU Delft! The lab will be working on integrated circuits and microfabrication for the next generation of ultrasound therapeutic implantable and wearable devices.
